Q: network setup - help please

howdy

i am looking for some advice on a network setup

we currently have a wired and wireless network (airport express) that runs on 192.168.1.x

we are looking to sublet some of our office space.. and the new tenants will be running their own separate network (10.0.0.x)

however.. i would like them to be able to access our wireless network to surf the web etc

so.. two questions

01: if we setup both the ethernet service and a wireless service on their machines... will they be able to surf the web whilst connected to their network.. if so.. will that happen auto.. or will i need to configure something on the machine

02: i assume that i can create a guest network on the airport express to allow them to surf the web.. but not access our network

thanks in advance for any help

    Hello,

01: If Macs, this may be important...

    10.5.x/10.6.x/10.7.x/10.8.x instructions...

System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.

The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.

    10.4 instructions...

Is that Interface dragged to the top of Network>Show:>Network Port Configurations.

02: The beauty of the guest network - and the whole point of it - is that you get two separate wireless networks for the price of one AirPort base station. The traffic is segmented and isolated, so users connected to the guest network can't see or detect the traffic on the primary network, and vice versa.
