How do you delete apps that don't have a little x next to them in Launchpad?

I transferred stuff from my old iMac with Migration assisstant and there are apps in there that don't work any more. How can I get rid of them as the above cited Apple method won't work as they don't show little xs next to them.

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

Only Mac App Store apps can be deleted from Launchpad. If they weren't installed from the Mac App Store, you have to remove them manually.

First, search in Internet if they come with an uninstaller. If so, use it. However, a lot of apps don't require an uninstaller, so you just have to open a Finder window, choose Applications in the sidebar and delete the applications manually. Don't use any cleaning application unless you want to damage something, although they may work once
