Can I open links in Apple Maps from Google.com?

Is it possible to configure the iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1.4 to open links from Google.com in Apple Maps instead of the link redirecting me to the Google Maps webpage?

I'm a little surprised to be redirected to Google on an Apple device. Is there a way to change my defaults to always open the link in Apple Maps for any website I'm linking from? Right now the only site that seems to open Apple Maps is Yahoo.

No, sorry, it's not. Google's site directs only to their own maps. They don't want you seeing anyone else's advertising since that and selling marketing data is how they make their money.

That's a function of how the links are encoded (and typically whether you are redirected to a mobile version of the site in question). Niothing you can configure to change it.
