LastPass not working with Safari on iMac

LastPass stopped working on my iMac. I had originally been gettin and error message saying add on not compatible and to contact LastPass.

I contacted them and through many trials, had reset everything on Safari. And now I have it installed but it will NOT allow me to sign in. I have to go to their web site to sign in and then it will work for me.

Anyone else having this problem and found a solution.

The LastPass Icone Astericks does not light up as active until I sign in on their website

Try emptying the Safari cache.

Command + Option + E then quit and relaunch Safari.

And make sure your OS X software is up to date.

Click Software Update from your Apple menu.

I have reset Safari innumerable times and this has NOT helped and my software is all up to date

Resetting Safari does not empty the cache ...

BTW, there's no need for a third party password manager.

The OS X native app Keychain Access located in HD > Applications > Utilities can do that for you.

I did the empty cache key shortcut and tried reinstalling it and it didnot work

I want a password manager to work on other browsers and pc.

it was working quite well til a week or so ago and now it doesnt ; it works in firefox on my iMac and on my iPad; I havent tried safari on my pc laptop yet
