Macbook Air new 2013 Have to login twice.

Many times after waking my macbook air from sleep I will enter my password, and than the screen will go black, and it appears to go to sleep again, and I have to enter the password twice to start using the machine. I have a i7/256gb ssd/ 8gb ram

Is there anything I can do to fix this?
