Editing events once they are synced to other devices

I am not having an issue with syncing my calendar to some of my other devices. I am having trouble with being able to then edit these events once they are synced. Is there a way to be able to allow events to be edited on both my computer within calendar as well as say my phone? I need some help with this and I can't seem to find anything anywhere that tells me what I should do.
