HOME SHARING HELP?!

I wish to share iTunes files between my laptop and my computer. On both i have logged into the same iTunes ID when prompted after turning on the home sharing option. However, even with both logged in, i cannot see the home share option on either computer, implying they have not detected eachother. What more can i do to get home share to work?
