bluetooth keyboard not discovered

my MacBook Pro stopped “seeing” my bluetooth keyboard but it clearly registers another Bluetooth device that's not even in my premises. Is there anyway to block or eliminate that other bluetooth signal?

Thank you Sheila. I finally got an answer from Apple which solved the problem. The solution: Disengage the bluetooth device (in this case an Apple wireless keyboard) by severing the connection. Remove the batteries. Shut down the computer. Restart the computer. At the point in reboot when you have to sign in with your password, place batteries in the bluetooth device, and press button to send out a wireless signal, sign to the computer and complete the restart process. Once at desktop check, launch System Prefs and go to Keyboard and select Bluetooth device. That did it. The keyboard was able to reconnect.

Hello bradford889,

I found a couple of articles that may help with the Bluetooth issues you are experiencing on your MacBook Pro.

Firstly, you can use the steps in this article to remove a Bluetooth pairing from your Mac (this article is archived but the steps are still relevant):

Bluetooth: How to Delete a Paired Device

After removing the device that you do not want paired, you can follow the steps in the section titled "Top troubleshooting tips" in the following article if you still cannot pair your Bluetooth keyboard:
