Q: Can iphone 3GS update the latest iOS? e.g the iOS 6.1.4 or iOS 7?

6.1.3 is the highest possible for the iPhone 3GS.

6.1.4 is for the iPhone 5 only.

No.  It is iphone 5 specific.

You can look this up on Apples website.  It will trll you which iphone model it will be compatible with, when released this fall.

iOS 7 is still in beta form. It is not yet supported no matter what device it is on.

The most current release is iOS 6.1.5, and yes, you can upgrade a 3GS to that version.

Actually, it was released in Feb 2014, 3 months after varjack's post and almost a year after the thread started.

No you won't able to update last as mentioned Above Comment latest is IOS 6.1.6 Because iphone cannot handle the IOS 7 Due to its hardware limitations, you need to upgrade the Device.

Yes, that was the answer that was given a year ago. Is there a particular reason you're repeating it now?

Yes brother what you are telling is right, but how should i know that the answer has given a year before..
