Can't transfer music from old iPad to new iPad.

I just recently got a new iPad and am trying to transfer all of my music over from my old iPad. So far I have been successful in transferring apps, pictures, mail, etc. just not music/music videos. Everytime I try to sync stuff or restore from a backup, it seems to only sync apps and that gets the unwanted apps from my old iPad back onto my new one. Please help!! Thanks!!

Product type below is for the new iPad (Retina Display). I am trying to sync from iPad first generation.

iPad, iOS 6.1.3

Unfortunately the music you downloaded from elsewhere is not able to be synced back from the iPad back into your computer's iTunes to sync to the new iPad. Unless you still have it on the computer to add into iTunes, it won't let you copy it back off. Apparently it was one of the annoying features various record labels required to reduce music and film piracy.

Music doesn't go into the backup file... On iTunes you need to go to the iPad Button (top right), then click Music above the picture of the iPad, then select to Sync Music if it's on the computer.

If all your music was downloaded from iTunes, you can re-download it free... Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

Ok. Do I sync music from the iPad 1 first? I actually thought I tried this yesterday but when I clicked sync music it looked like it was syncing my apps?

I actually just downloaded my purchased songs but I have many more songs that I downloaded from Limewire long ago...would those be able to download as well?

How can I tell if I still have it on the computer to add into iTunes? I should have never used Limewire..Free music but in the end it's not worth it.
