Q: Isight issue with Reaper DAW Recorder

If i have my Reaper recoring software open and ready to record with input from mic and guitar through interface working and then open eith IMovie or Photo Booth the camera is blank (won't open). If I shut Reaper and Imovie off and then reopen Imovie first, Isight camera is now working but if I then open Reaper there is no audio signal at all. How do I fix this??

Unless you have already tried each of these four tests, try again with your third-party Reaper software after:

    • connecting a different (preferably USB-connected) mic

and selecting it instead of external iSight's built-in mic,

      (external iSight can be temperamental.)

    • restarting your Mac,

    • launching Reaper in a new user account, and

    • opening Reaper after launching Photo Booth (instead of iMovie) first.

If your results in all three tests are as you describe above, your issue seems to be specific to Reaper.

For the best help with Reaper specific issues, try searching Reaper's Help menu or the downloadable User Guide.  If neither of them help you get Reaper's software working properly with your Apple system, search or post in the Reaper Forum.  The Reaper users who post there may have already found a solution for your problem.
