I entered a new contact in my iphone but it doesn't update my exchange outlook contact file, but if I enter the new contact in exchange then it does update my iphone. What am I doing wrong?

It sounds like your contacts you enter on your iPhone are not being updated in Outlook. I found an article with some steps you can take to address issues with the syncing through Exchange ActiveSync:
