Normally i hit shift+4 is a dollarsign. but right now it goes to shortcut for the dock. is there any solution for that? thanks

You may need to take a look at your keyboard shortcuts in your System Preferences to check what keyboard shortcut is set to show the dock. I found a couple of articles that can assist with this:
