i was going to buy a apple wireless keyboard but only to use for my apple tv and wanted to know if i can navigate throuhg the apps and what not i dont only want to type i want to use it as a remote is this possible or is the keyboard only going to work for typing on the apple tv

If you have an Apple TV (2nd generation or later) and are running Apple TV Software 5.2 or later, you definitely can use an Apple Wireless Keyboard with your Apple TV. I found an article with the steps on setting this up:
