Scan photo to MacBookPro

I have a Canon MX340 with a wireless connection to my MacBookPro. When trying to scan on the printer and send to PC, I receive the message "PC not connected". I print from the MacBook to the Canon on a regular basis. Anyone know why the 'not connected' message appears for scans?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Some printer/scanners need to be connected directly to the computer in order to scan. Read the user manual that came with your printer or contact Canon tech support.


Also, make sure scanner is selected in System Preferences/Print & Fax/Scan
