Try troubleshooting Safari plug-ins and extensions ..

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Security tab.

Deselect:  Allow all other plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.

If it's not a plug-in issue, select the Extensions tab. If there are any extensions installed, turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.  If that made a difference, uninstall one at a time, quit and relaunch Safari until you find the culprit.

If it's not plug-ins or extensions, try a different DNS service.

Open System Preferences > Network > Advanced > DNS

Click + and type in these numbers:

    208.67.222.222

Click + again and do the same.

    208.67.220.220

    Click Ok.

Quit and relaunch Safari. See if pages load faster as well as images.

Please click the link below, which leads to Apple's home page. Does it load slowly or at normal speed?
