Apple IIc - of any value whatsoever?

I have an old IIc with all the trimmings (cables, manuals, software, etc) and no idea what to do with it. It's been collecting dust for ages and all I can see happening out there now is the occasional sale on ebay for $50 - hardly worth the trouble to pack everything up. But somehow that just doesn't seem right.

Am I missing something or does it have a date with the recycling bin?

As a collector of vintage Apple II products, if the machine is working, I would love to have it. I can pay for shipping, et cetera. Let me know what you have and if you have the original boxes/software that came with this and I am sure we can work something out...

I am guessing this is not a IIc+, but rather the earlier IIc that uses 5.25 inch floppies...

Ian,

That was our first computer. We some how obtained a hacked copy of Conan that allowed endless lives. We played that over and over on the IIc and had time trials. Yes, Psyko can play Conan on his G5 using an emulator but it is just not the same.

There is an elementary school in San Diego that had a website proclaiming their school to be the trailing edge of technology. They would welcome a IIc. Unfortunately I can not find their site any more; (or maybe fortunately for them they have moved on).

Around here in the Northwest, I am saving old machines and creating a software and documentation library for kids to enjoy some modern history. Check around or let some kid use it as a science project.
