My iPhone 5 will only charge till 20%

When I was charging my iphone 5 I left for about an hour and it only charged to 20% but it still had the finished charging symbol (the plug icon in the battery) when I take the charger out my iPhone within about two minutes it goes down to 18%

PLEASE HELP ME (I have never dropped it in water or dropped it I haven't ever had any other problems with my iPhone)

Now it will charge but it just stays at the need charging screen

Try turning your iPhone completely off, and cycle it back on. Be sure to also close all apps not in use and limit other usages.

GPS for example limits your recharging. No Service zones make it worse.

I think my phones problem is that heat affected it I've been outside a lot and where I live it's been realy hot
