Q: How do I open videos with my Apple that were created on a PC?

I have an equine program for veterans and I need to show some VIP's some video footage but the person who burned the DVD did it on his PC. My apple lap top will not let me see the videos in Quick Time. I down loaded a converter but it didnt make it work. Please help, I have a presentation on Monday.

It varies depending on the format, but most likely requires Perian or VLC, or Flip4Mac for unprotected Windows Media content, or isn't possible on Mac OS X.

I have a green flip4mac downloaded, but hoe do i get it to do the job? I tried putting the DVD into the slot and I tried slidding themon top of each other but it didnt work? Thanks by the way!
