I want to download an app from HTC - a reputable android supplier

What's hte question? If you can't run the installer because OS X tells you that isn't from the App Store or an identified developer, you have two options:
1. Right-click the installer or app, and select Open.
2 Open System Preferences > Security and Privacy, and select "Anywhere" under "Allow applications downloaded from".
That's caused by Gatekeeper > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5290?viewlocale=en_US
