boot from disk

I have a powermac g5 1.5 ghz with 2 gb of ram. 2004 model. My problem is when i want to instal osx leopard from the retail disk me fans turning on max speed and make a lot of noise. And my pc only shows the witte apple screen.

i hope anyone has a solution to this problem
