Q: ipod touch 4G wont backup to icloud even though there is plenty of storage space available?

ipod touch 4G wont backup to icloud even though there is plenty of storage space available?

I am trying to do my first bacup to icloud but says estamating time with a wheel that keeps on spining next to the wheel says backing up but backing up level indicator stays at the begining no matter how long I try it for. I have kept it overnight but still nothing.

I have also purchased 25GB storage space. I have used 12.5GB on my ipod so there is plenty of space.

Any ideas??

iPod touch, iOS 6.1.3

Did you remember to connect it to your charger when you left it overnight to back up?

Check to see if you have an app or someting in the camera roll that is causing the backup to fail.  To do this, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, under Backup Options tap Show All Apps, then turn them all to Off (including camera roll) and try backing up again.  If the backup is successful, then the camera roll and/or one of your apps is causing the backup to fail and you'll have to located by process of elimination. Turn the camera roll On and try backing up again.  If it succeeds, turn some of your apps to On and try backing up again.  If it succeeds again, turn some more apps to On then try again; repeat this process until it fails.  Eventually you'll be able to locate the problem app and exclude it from your backup.
