Q: iphoto ?

how long does it take for iPhoto 11 to download? I bought it last night and 24 hrs later it still seems to be only halfway done! Is there anything to do to speed it up?

MacBook, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

How long is a piece of string? There are a million variables in downloading. If you have a cable modem connection that is working correctly it should be minutes - if you have a dial up modem it could be weeks

For normal setups it should not be long - stop it and restart and see what happens

If you're having problems with the App Store and you've not been able to solve the download problem you might try this:

1 - enabble the Debug menu in App Store:

        • open the Terminal application.

        • copy the command below and paste into the Terminal window:

defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true

    followed by Enter.

        • launch App Store, login and try again.

2 - select the Debug ➙ Reset Application option:

3 - launch App Store, login and try again.
