trouble redeeming already registered gift card for movies on pc

I am trying to purchase a movie on my Windows 7 PC with a gift card that I have already registered to my account. It is not allowing me to do that. After entering the code (which is already registered to my account) upon iTunes request, it does not allow for me to purchase it.
