403 forbidden: access is denied

same for me. before that the same site showed connection problems by the host. is it me this time?

trying the same site. i saw it checking my browser and error 520 that showed it was the hosts problem. now i see 403

First I would update to the latest iOS for your phone but going to Settings > General > Check Updates. Then try this. Close Safari by double clicking the Home button and swiping up the Safari preview to close it completely. Then go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data.

It depends on what the error message was. If it was the same (403) that means that the site does not want to allow you to access it. It could be a "stale" cache on your end; if it is, elcpu's answer will fix it.

It doesn't matter if it has worked before. The site does not want to allow you access now, today. Maybe it requires login to go to the page you requested, and you are not logged in. Or maybe the site is broken. Or maybe you have a page in the Safari cache that is no longer valid. That's why you should clear the Safari cache by going to Settings/Safari. But if that doesn't fix it the problem is with the site.

Ask the people running the site you tried to access; whatever's causing that message is on the server and not at your end.
