Dear community,

I'm experiencing an issue when exporting a Keynote presentation to a Quicktime movie: slide number 2 contains an embedded video, which automatically starts playing when the viewer gets to slide number 2. However, I can't find any way to let the viewer skip to slide number 3, before the video ends.

I've tried adding hyperlinks, manual control, full screen transparant buttons, build in and out effects that should stop the movie on click, etc. but nothing seems to work. The only option seems to let the viewer go through the entire movie, once finished all buttons and controls start working again.

Has anyone else experienced this and knows a solution / work around?

Thanks and regards,

Tim Metz

When playing back the Quicktime movie, stop the movie playing (command enter or View > Stop Movie) then click on the hyperlink.

Thanks for the response Gary. Unfortunately that doesn't work, as there seem to be no controls whatsoever in Quicktime when playing the exported movie (checked with other Quicktime movies and those do have controls, so don't think it's something related to my computer).

sorry, just noticed I omited some information:

The movie has to be be stopped to allow the hyperlink to work:

right click the QT window  > select Stop Movie then click on the hyperlink set to slide 2
