Apple TVWelcome to the Apple Community.
If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
- Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
- Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
- Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
- Open iTunes.
- Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.

It should be in the top right corner of iTunes. If you are in the iTunes store, click the library button which will be in the top right corner instead.

Jun 30, 2013 5:03 AM in response to snowyh65by Winston Churchill,Sometimes it can be a little difficult to advise multiple people in the same thread, they don't always have the same set of conditions and assumptions can be made which aren't correct. It's best to start a thread of your own.
However, have you made sure you have followed the instructions for your Apple TV, the procedure is different for each model.
