Dec 7, 2013 12:14 PM in response to Nassar74by moritzhberg,I have the same monitor. HDMI and DVI gave me 1080p. I thought I was going insane. Then I purchased a mini display port to display port, adn it worked, just like Nassar74 said.

May 10, 2014 11:46 AM in response to Nassar74by projectpro,I bought the ASUS MX299Q which uses the same resolution. But I use the Mac mini Server Mid 2011.
- At the moment I just get 1080p with HDMI connection.
- With Thunderbolt to DVI I get 1920x1080
Should that Mac mini also support 2560x1080?
Think I need also the Thunderbolt -> Display Port? Do I?
thanks

Dual-link DVI displays with resolutions above 1920 x 1200

May 10, 2014 1:11 PM in response to projectproby moritzhberg,Display Port is the only connection with which I could get 2560x1080 on my Early 2011 MBP. However, I have seen that the retina MBP (2013) can output 2560x1080 via it's built it HDMI port. Using an adapter from Mini DP/Thunderbolt to HDMI only gives 1080p.
Hope this helps.
