Q: Updating

I have problems with activating and updating the atv3. I can log onto iTunes and watch all my purchased content but it won't let me cgi ate or update. Is it apple having a problem day or me. I've done a complete restore to factory settings but still won't update

Sorted it , after scouring the net , I found that if you are trying to update the atv2 or 3 over the Ethernet certain models won't work .

You have to set it up via wireless network with the Ethernet cable disconnected and that should work fine.

    I understand that to be certain software versions rather than certain models of Apple TV. Having now updated (using wifi) you should be good for your next update over ethernet.
