Do you have two devices......an AirPort Extreme and a Time Capsule?

If yes, please look on the bottom of the AirPort Extreme to locate the model number and post back with that information.

Are you trying to "extend" the WiFi range wirelessly.....or.....do you plan to connect an Ethernet cable from the Time Capsule to the AirPort Extreme?

It takes two separate devices to be able to extend a wireless network.

A Time Capsule is in effect, an AirPort Extreme with a built in hard drive.

You will need an additional Apple device like an AirPort Extreme, AirPort Express, or another Time Capsule if you want to be able to extend the wireless signal.

The AirPort Express is a popular choice for this type of application.
