Change print preferences; how to get Print Preview?

I use Epson Workforce 520 and was having hard time figuring out how to change options/preferences on printing a document. Mainly I wanted to print drafts or black and white only. I have not figured out everything, but for other surface users like myself, here is what to do for my issues:

Go to File in menu, then select Print; at bottom choose Print Using System Dialog; select Layout which gives a list of options; print settings, print quality will be obvious.

I still don't know how to do Print Preview.

I'm not aware of a "Print Preview" action per se on a Mac, but here's what you can do:

From Print, you can click the "PDF" button in the lower left, then "Save as PDF". You can then open the PDF you just saved using Apple's Preview app (which is the default app for opening PDFs). You can view and/or print from there.

Thank you. After many years on microsoft, it is taking me a while to figure out all the Macbook differences in things like this printing stuff.

I went through the microsoft convertee phase you're describing several years ago.

This is not a good solution for everyone, but it helped me:

There are a series of "Missing Manual" books by David Pogue (N.Y. Times tech writer) that are well written and complete and accurate. This one might appeal to you:
