Q: Duplicate emails

Why am I suddenly seeing duplicate emails in my iCloud sent folder? This jus started today and the last 3 emails that I have sent have shown up each twice in my sent folder with the same date/time stamp.

    I am having this issue as well.  Hopefully Apple will advise as to what the problem is.  Hopefully it's just us that is seeing them but the recipient only gets one.

    I decided to do some amateur trouble shooting and this is what I've discovered:

     

    1.  If I start a new email and send it, it seems in some instances I don't get duplicates in the sent folder.

     

    2.  Whenever I reply to someone who sends me an email, I get duplicates in the sent folder.

     

    3.  I sent an email from icloud to a yahoo account I have.  There was no duplicate in the sent folder.

     

    4.  I responded to my icloud account from my yahoo account.  I then replied to that email from icloud, and there was a duplicate in the sent folder, however, the yahoo account only received one email.

     

    I still would prefer to see no duplicates, but I think we can be fairly sure the recipient is only getting one.

    i  am in your situation. the problem it's only icloud.com. if i sent the mail each email address in my sent folder i view the email duplicate . no advice unfortunately. wait the apple.

    now i have the test on my icloud.com account. i sent the mail to work email and i see one mail on the folder 'sent'.

    i sent another mail to icloud email (icloud mail on icloud mail) and i see one mail on the folder 'sent'

     

    it seems that the problem is solved

    No.  I'm still having this issue.  I just sent an email five minutes ago and they were still duplicates.

    now i sent a mail to my brother address mail and  i don't have duplicate the mail in the folder 'sent'.

     

    for me the problem is solved

    I thought it was resolved for awhile but it happened again today.  so it's not fixed for me.

    Ditto, it doesn't happen from our iphones or ipad... only when accessing our icloud accounts via pc. Recipiants only receive one email.  Last night the Apple Store confirmed that it is not a browser issue, nor an internet provider issue.  Again, the "threads" that the Apple tech researched would indicate it's not a Windows program issue because there is someone having the same problem with a MAC.  All this seems to point to an icloud specific issue.  The Apple Store told me they can't fix it and to call Apple.

     

    What common denominator do those affected have that other unaffected subscribers do not?

     

    Additional problems we've started having are letters running off the screen when typing - recipiants are having this same issue when trying to reply.   In addition, the text size is changing mid way between back and forth e-mail conversations.

     

    I have a call scheduled with Apple in the AM.  At this point, I'm not hopeful.

    My problems are similar to yours:

     

    Duplicate emails in Sent folder - but apparently duplicates are not received, fortunately.

     

    Text goes off the page.

     

    Both problems are intermittent.  Thank you for letting us know the result of your call tomorrow morning.

    Thanks for all the due diligence.  I'll be very interested to know the results of your call.  One thing I'm glad about is that Apple isn't trying to blame competing operating systems and browsers.

     

    I may have to switch too. I never cared for hotmail but the new outlook interface is much better and has something iCloud and gmail don't have; the ability to delete unwanted emails from the server before they hit your inbox as opposed to just depositing them in the junk folder.

     

    iCloud also freezes on me in the middle of typing because of some slow running java issue.

    kobezzz, is your double sent e-mail problem still resolved and, if so, how did you resolve?  Thank you.

    For me the problem is to sever mail iCloud.com, you not have to do anything.
