Transfer iphone 4 to iphone 5

I just received my iphone 5 and backed up my old iphone 4 to itunes. The new phone is syncing now, however, the time frame for completion keeps increasing and the phone has been hooked up to my computer for about an hour and the estimated time of completion has increased to 51 hours. Any suggestions? Is this normal?
