my son disabled my daughters ipod touch bc he was guessing the password. restoring it would mean she will lose all of her pictures that she took of her dog who was just put down.she is in tears PLEASE someone tell me there is a way to recover them???????

Has she ever made an itunes back up or used icloud ??

If your using a PC open itunes and click EDIT >> PREFERENCES and a new window will open

Click on DEVICES and see if a back up was ever made

You can only tell if she has an iCloud backup by:

- Setting up the iPod via wifi. When you do that, the iPod will ask you if you want to set up as new or from an iCloud backup.

- After setting up the iPod by going to Settings>iCloud>Storage and Backup.

- After setting up the iPod by going to Settings>iCloud>Storage and Backup.???

Settings>iCloud>Storage and Backup>manage storage and back ups --- that shows your iCloud back ups. No need to restore

andyrew4519, the original poster said her iPod is dasable. Then she can't access the iPod and see if there is an iCloud backup. SHe has to restore the iPod and set it up with the same account.

There might be an easy way. Why not connect the ipod touch through usb and open it using My Computer. Go to the iPod's folder in there and click DCIM and you will see a folder with some name. If you go inside it, you can see all the pics you took. Copy those pics into your pc. I know your ipod is disabled. But its worth a try, isn't?

The iPod is not accessable by a computer when the iPod is disabled.

thats what I told, worth a try lol. Still there is no harm in checking that.

That is why I previously referred her in my first reply to PhotoStream because that is the iCloud portion where she maybe able to get then from here PhotoStream.

Yeah you will get back all the photos if u did so. Because I got all after I restored from back up. All you have to do is get a proper back up.
