Whenever I try to partition my Macintosh HD it loads for a while then gives me this message:
This sounds very data corrupting and i'm not sure how to do that. My family has a mac time capsule that I could back up to (does time machine work for backing up to that?) I need a tutorial for doing this safely, These are the specs for my computer: (if needed)

BootCamp: "This disc can not be partitioned/impossible to move files."
First make sure your files are additionally backed up off the machine
Most commonly used backup methods
That there are no "other" issues with it

Then make a clone and erase/reverse clone + reduce user files

Time machine does not make clones, use Carbon Copy Cloner for ths job. You will need an external drive to clone to.
I finally got it fixed but, now my BOOTCAMP startup option does not show up in startup
Does it show if you hold the option key down while booting up?
