I cannot delete iTunes to begin uninstallation

I have been trying to uninstall iTunes to reinstall a new version. A file "bonjour" keeps coming up and we cannot delete that because of a .msi path or some such error message. Has anyone else had this problem? Seems like the uninstall 1st always begins with the deletion of the iTunes file.
