iPhone earpod jack snapped inside the phone, will apple replace the ear pod?

My phone is about 5 months old. last night when i wanted to pull the earpod jack out from the 3.5mm socket after my workout session the pointed bit from the jack got stuck inside the phone. the rest of the jack came out as if they were two seperate parts. i managed to pull out the pointed part by grabbing it with a plier but now the earpod will not work. the part does not attach to the jack and i am screwed!

does the phone warranty cover the earpod? will i get a replacement earpod if i take the broken one to an apple store?

recently i got my phone replaced because of an issue with internal glue giving up and making the touchscreen play funny.

will book a genius bar appointment if someone can confirm i will get a replacement.

many thanks!

No one here can confirm anything.

If determine to be a hardware failure and not caused by accidental damage or abuse, it will be replaced under warranty but Apple makes that determination. Each warranty claim is on a case by case basis.
