Need simple help with SySex and Logic Pro 9

I am new at using SySex with Logic Pro 9, and I am trying to find a simple explanation on how to sync or dump SySex data into Logic Pro. I have a .syx file created by SySex Librarian that I would like to use with Logic Pro, preferably as a bank of intrument presets. I've come across tons of directives by people that basically state "just do such and such", without bothering to explain how you get through to the steps to actually do "such and such". It's like there are several steps involved that they don't manage to explain and I can't seem to be able to find to make it work. Can someone please help by either explaining this to me clearly or pointing me in the direction to find the information?

SysEx stands for "System Exclusive"

It is normally a file contains patch data or a certain set of parameters for a specific synthesizer or hardware unit. It is transmittied to/from the synth/hardware via MIDI.

What SysEx data do you have, what synth does it belong to?

Thanks for responding. I have an old GEM PK5 - it has Middle Eastern/ Arabic instruments, rhythms and microtone tunings - and I've successfully created a SySex dump file from it. I'm trying to find out how you import or record it into Logic Pro so that I can use the instruments for writing independent of the keyboard control. Can this be done? It seems that it is possible but I'm having a difficult time finding step by step information as to how to do this.

Unfortunately, that's not possible, the sysex dump is data that relates only to the internal sound producing hardware of the GEM PK5. Sysex is not the sound producing information, it's data that configures the internal hardware. ie: envelope settings, effects settings, filters, eq....etc.
