27" imac, avid media composer

Hey all,

Was hoping to get some thoughts from people who run Avid Media Composer 6/6.5 on the new iMacs.

I'd like to buy a 27" model (i7, 680MX, 32GB RAM) but wanted to make sure Avid MC runs well on it.

So, any Avid users here? How does it run on longer projects with lots of AMA and mixed media? My last computer would grind to a hault in that situation, so I'm hoping the iMac will do better.

Any comments on fusion drive vs SSD?

Any advice or info appreciated!
