Q: Photo Syncing Problem

Ever since I updated to iOS 6.1.3, I have been having trouble syncing new photos from my computer to my iPhone 4.   Right after I did the update, my new pictures would sync to my phone but they would not be in the designated Photo Folders like on my computer.    I disabled iCloud and that worked the next time I did a sync.  But tonight when I tried to sync new photos, the sync seemed to totally skip over Photos and only synced apps.    It went through steps 1 thru 5 of 7 then stopped and said sync was done.  I still have around 5GB of space left and there were less than 50 new photos to add so I don't think it's a storage space problem.

Has anyone else had this problem and, if so, how did you resolve it?   Do I need to take my laptop and phone to an Apple store?   And would they charge me?

Thanks, in advance, for any help/suggestions!

Have you made sure of you sync options for photos is set correctly?

e.g. are you syncing entire photo library or selected photos?

I'm not sure what you mean by making sure the sync options for photos is set correctly. I am only syncing selected folders of photos and have checked that box.     Prior to doing the update, my phone would always add the new photos in the selected folders already on my phone when I synced it.   Now it won't.    When I watch the scroll bar at the top it goes to Step 5 of 7 then stops and says it's done.

I have been considering switching over to an Android phone ONLY because of the problems with syncing photos.  Being able to have my photos on my phone (because of my job) are the main consideration for me with a cellphone.

If I continue to have these syncing problems, I guess the decision to switch will be made for me even though I think the iPhone truly is one of the easiest phones to use.  Or at least it was prior to this update.  Makes me worried about getting the iPhone 5s when it comes out since it will have iOS 7 which, I've heard, will have some major changes.
