My ipad is recognized as a camera, how can I get it recognized as an Ipad so I can sync?

To sync you need to open iTUnes. If you have i OS 6.1.3 then you need to have at least iTunes 11 on your computer. So if your iTUnes isn't up to date, download the latest version and install it and see if that fixes your issue.

Since your computer sees the iPad as a camera, you know that the cable and port are working, so it's just a matter of getting the software to work.

Then Open iTunes, if it doesn't open on its own, and either look on the left side panel for your iPad's name, or if yo don't have the panel visible, there should be an iPad button on the top right corner of the screen just under the search box.
