I have connected Apple Tv to our television. No problem with connection or Apple ID. Also no problem viewing photos. However, when i try to play music through the system, it ony lets me have 1.30 of each track? When i play movies or trailers, they are greyed out with a chequerboard in a mini screen? Have I missed a setting?

If you are only getting partial playback of music and a checkerboard pattern when trying to play video, you may be having a copy protection or DRM issue with the connection between your Apple TV and your television, and/or an authorization issue for the Apple TV. why when i connect an apple tv box do i only get 1.30 of songs and a few mins of films and trailers greyed out with a chequer board?
