why doesn't iphone support avi , mkv format? i want to play MKV files.

i have some movies with MKV file format. and some videos with AVI format. but i'm not able to copy it in my iphone. it shows the error that it can not be played on iphone. so what should i do about it ? is there any way where i can transfer and run these files in iphone ?

Yes. Find an App that can play those formats.


Moli Player supports a wide variety of video formats.

You can then use iTunes File sharing to transfer them into the App.
