What To Do If Your iDevice Is Lost Or Stolen

If you activated Find My Phone before it was lost or stolen, you can track it only if Wi-Fi is enabled on the device. What you cannot do is track your device using a serial number or other identifying number. You cannot expect Apple or anyone else to find your device for you. You cannot recover your loss unless you insure your device for such loss. It is not covered by your warranty.

There is no way to see the last location unless you enabled "lost mode" on iCloud Find My iPhone before it was turned off.

Thanks. My daughters phone was stolen in a club in Barcelona. All data was shut off. It doesn't show up in the Find My Phone app. Is there anything I can do?.

Log in to https://icloud.com/find. Click on the phone and choose Lost Mode. Eventually it will have to be turned on, but probably in China. So you aren't likely to get it back. But at least you will know that no one else can use it. Whatever you do, if you get any messages saying it was found ignore them; they are scams to get you to give away the information to turn off Activation Lock.
