My MacBookAir is an 11" mid 2013 model. They told me in the apple store when I purchased the MacBook Air it would work but I don't think the 11" has an infrared receiver?
Anybody tried to do this?

I'm sorry, but the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro with Retina display haven't got a IR receiver, so you can't use the Apple Remote with this MacBook
Thank you for clarifying.......no big deal just wanted to know. Will they be brining out a remote that can be used? Is there another type of remote or maybe use my iphone 5?
