Jul 1, 2013 6:09 PM in response to centurion2by WZZZ,It won't void the warranty (that is, as long as you don't mangle the slots.) It's meant to be user upgradeable. Get RAM from OWC, macsales.com, if you're in the US or Canada.

Jul 1, 2013 6:13 PM in response to centurion2by babowa,You can add RAM to the new 2012 27"; however, the new 21.5" is not user upgradeable - it is sealed. (FWIW, the latest iMac models available are 2012's at this point).
And, absolutely agree with the recommendation of OWC - have been using their RAM in several of my Macs.
