PLEASE HELP!

a message popped up on my login screen the other day, telling me that someone else was using my IP address.

the next day, my computer had given itself a screen saver, as well as changed the little icon above my name on the login screen.

now, mission control opens by itself every 2 seconds, even when my mouse is shut off! (it is making it very difficult to type this)

this is what I have tried so far:
- a full virus scan, which cleared out 2 tiny files that the computer didn't like.
- switching my mouse off.
- making sure all mission control hot corners were switched off.

I don't know what else to do! please help!

The warning about the IP address doesn't mean anything. The changes in your settings aren't so easy to explain, if you didn't make them and no one else did. As for the cursor behavior, there are several possible causes for the issue. Take each of the following steps until it's resolved.

1. Follow the instructions in this support article.

2. Reset the System Management Controller.

3. If you're using a Bluetooth trackpad, investigate potential sources of interference, including USB 3 devices.

4. There's a report of erratic cursor movements caused by an external display that was connected but not turned on.

5. If none of the above applies, or if you have another reason to think your computer is being remotely controlled, remove it from the network by turning off Wi-Fi (or your Wi-Fi access point), disconnecting from a Bluetooth network link, and unplugging the Ethernet cable or USB modem, whichever is applicable. If the cursor movements stop at once, you should suspect an intrusion.
