Resolution

Restore iPod from Disk Mode

1. Disconnect iPod from your computer.
2. Manually put iPod into Disk Mode.
3. Open the latest version of iTunes and connect iPod.
4. Restore iPod.

Can you tell if your hard drive is spinning up? If not, then that's the cause. There are many ways to fix it, but what I found to help me was to tap on the top left of the ipod a little bit hard, just enough to the the head or whatever part it is to start spinning up.
