Over heating/noise issue and CUP speed Help needed.

Well, I've got and used my MB 2G 1G RAM for few days now.
Since I am very sensitive to noice, the biggest issue I found on my MB is the fan noice caused by over heating(I assume). The fan kicks in even when I am just browsing websites. The fan seems to turn on and off continuously and frequently. Now questions,
- Is that normal on MBs?
- Any solution to this issue?
- How can I know my CPU tempreture?
- Can I ajust the CPU speed using some software?

Although I would say it's not normal, it is common and typical of many MacBooks.

search for CoreDuoTemp

- Can I ajust the CPU speed using some software?

There is a yet-to-be-released software called speedit which claims this functionality. The currently available speedit is unable to do this. There are some system hacks by the same guys who made speedit. do a google search.
