iPod Touch 5G, suddenly Siri won't open

Have an iPod touch 5G. Hadn't tried to use Siri in quite a while. Wanted to use Siri yesterday. Wifi on and connected, Location Services all on, etc. Try to start Siri...i see a Voice Control screen for a split second, and then back to original screen.

I go back into settings...and I notice that Siri is set to OFF, even though I know it was on. I turn it on...back out of Settings. Go back into Settings...it's off.

Can someone please help?

Try This...

Close All Open Apps... Perform a Reset... Try again...

Reset ( No Data will be Lost )

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

Settings > General > Siri > Siri On.

To use Siri: Hold the home button for 3-5 seconds and speak to it.

If the reset does not work:

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: How to back up

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
